A non-profit arts organization, Broadway Theatre Project (BTP) trains students in the disciplines of acting, dancing, and singing. Summer sessions are held in July on the University of South Florida campus in Tampa. Here are a few of the ways in which Broadway Theatre Project programs stand out from the competition.

1. BTP's resident faculty hails from all over the country. Standouts include Garfield Lemonius, former master dance teacher at the Debbie Allen Dance Institute Summer Intensive, and Ann Morrison, an on- and off-Broadway actress who co-founded Kaleidoscope Theatre, a musical theatre workshop for actors with developmental disabilities.

2. BTP prepares students for all aspects of theatre life, whether auditioning, developing a resume, or touring and performing. Students learn the technical aspects of their art as well as the business skills required to excel as a working actor and singer.

3. After more than 20 years in the business, BTP is one of the most well-known and esteemed programs in the country. Playbill called the Project "the world's most prestigious musical theatre arts education program for high school and college students."

A nonprofit organization that encourages high school and college students to explore their love of the performing arts, the Broadway Theatre Project holds an annual three-week class in Tampa, Florida, during which students are taught about dance, voice, and acting. Classes are instructed by experienced performance artists who are currently involved in their fields. Here are representatives of each of the three faculties:

Jennifer Archibald is on the dance faculty and is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Arch Dance Company. She has performed at many of the country’s most prestigious venues, including the Lincoln Theatre and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Mana Allen is a member of the voice faculty with the Broadway Theatre Project and also sits on the faculty for the CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory. She has appeared on Broadway in the original casts of Merrily We Roll Along and Smile, and has coached many students who went on to appear in some of Broadways’ finest shows.

Marc Powers serves on the acting faculty, and is the Director of the School of Theatre and Dance and the British International Theatre Program at the University of South Florida. He specializes in performance technique and presentational styles.
